I have really loved my experience with vinyl so far and i would like to find something relatively cheap that can last me for awhile so this is a big decision. I have the lp gear cf3600le and i think it is a better sounding cart than the at95e stock version. Not only music listening. The at3600l cartridge has a tracking force range of 2 5 to 4 5 grams but every at lp60 that i ve seen properly measured has been within a few tenths of a gram of its factory spec of 3 5 grams which will not cause any excessive wear to your records in normal use.

I am ok with my lp60 and i suspect there are at least a few people here who feel the same way and may have this same problem someday. So for the extra money you will have to spend on the lp120 you will get a turntable that provides for multiple uses. Do vinyl lps wear out. The at lp60 is now an outgoing model but its replacement the at lp60x uses an identical cartridge and stylus.

Question about my audio technica lp60. Updated version of the at lp60 with redesigned tonearm base and headshell and the addition of an exter. My sister bought an lp60 audio engine powered speakers combo last year. I am not an expert and obviously not an audiophile.

But it comes standard on their turntables and certainly sounds a lot better compared to a lp60 i m sure. I ordered it off zzsounds so i have 45 days to return it. I currently have an at lp60 turntable and realized recently it was too fast when set at 33 1 3 for most of my lps. A lot of vinyl naysayers like to harp on the fact that lps can wear out.

The audio technica at lp60 turntable i recently reviewed would be a great way to start. The lp60 on the other hand will not be suitable for scratching as it is belt drive and scratching will make the belt wear out quickly and break.
